Ingredients
1kg tinned apples
200g blackberries, washed
450g McDougalls Scone Mix
175ml water egg wash (optional)
Method
  1. Mix the apples and blackberries and place into an oven proof dish
  2. Make a soft dough with the McDougalls Scone Mix in a bowl and knead until smooth. Roll to 13mm (1/2) thickness and cut into rounds using a 5cm (2”) cutter
  3. Place the dough mixture on top of the fruit, brush with beaten egg and bake at 220°C for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown
  4. Serve with Bird’s Reduced Sugar Custard
