Marmite Roast Potatoes

Roast potatoes are one of the stars of Christmas dinner (or any roast!). How can you take yours to the next level this year and get customers talking? The answer is Marmite.

2kg potatoes
25ml vegetable oil
75g butter
40g Marmite Yeast Extract
2 garlic cloves
5g thyme
  1. Peel and quarter the potatoes. Parboil for 10 mins.
  2. Drain well and shake to roughen up the edges and add extra crispiness.
  3. Heat the oil, butter and Marmite gently.
  4. Tumble the potatoes, smashed garlic and thyme in the Marmite butter.
  5. Roast for 45 mins at 180C until crisp.
